Our story
År 2020 startade First Distillery sin verksamhet i den charmiga röda lilla Brännvinsstugan vid Wenngarns slott, strax utanför Sveriges äldsta stad, Sigtuna.
Det var fyra entusiaster som började producera ekologisk hantverksgin och under våren 2021 släpptes den första ginen, First Gin, på Systembolaget. Idag produceras 10 sorters olika gin och en akvavit.
Genom hantverksmässig destillering förs Wenngarns långa tradition av produktion och hantverk vidare in i nutiden. Efter tusen år av historia, från den första kungen till det första helgonet och det första myntet, har First Distillery skapat First Gin!

In the 20th century, when Wenngarn's glory days were over, the area paradoxically functioned as an institution to help those struggling with alcoholism.
