Our story
Destilleriet är beläget i en charmig liten röd stuga precis framför Wenngarns slott, strax utanför Sveriges äldsta stad, Sigtuna. Efter tusen år av historia, från den första kungen till det första helgonet och det första myntet, har First Distillery skapat First Gin!
As early as the 19th century, the cabin was used as a distillery, where the servants at the castle received part of their salary in booze. In the 20th century, when Wenngarn's glory days were over, the area paradoxically functioned as an institution to help those struggling with alcoholism. Over the past 10 years, Wenngarn has transformed into a thriving modern community with cafes, shops and restaurants. A perfect day trip between Stockholm and Uppsala.
In the heart of this historic place, First Distillery Sigtuna produces world-class gin. With a passion for craftsmanship and a desire to honor the past, we use organic ingredients and traditional methods of distillation when creating our gin.
